In tradition Cambodian people have many differences kind of games played performed every year. Games here I am talking about are not referred to some kind of games which most people are created and playing via smart phones or computers or some other devices.

The Games here I am trying to say, are all about   traditional games, it is one in many other symbolizes of Khmer people.

When do we play?


Cambodian games are commonly play one month a year, during the month of April every year, that is one of Cambodian biggest events of the year " the Khmer New Year".

What are those games we played?


The most common games we played during the Khmer New Year are:

Boh Angkunh


Angkunh are some king of nuts grown on the Angkunh Tree found some where in Some provinces of Cambodia such as Stung Treng Province, Kratie, Province. The Angkunh is sized around 5 to 6 cm. It is flat on both side, it is very hard and dark brown color.

How do we play?


The game of Boh Angkun is required two teams to play, one team will be girls and one team will be boys. The teams stand in some distances part with a triangle made of Angkunh stuck to the grown (can be 3 or 5 Angkunh). In turn each team toss the fruits (Angkunh) Frisbee style in to the opponent's triangle.

How it  players can be won?


Player can win when all the fruits (Angkunh) are knock down or when the Angkunh stops in the triangle.

What are the prizes?


The winner exacts his/her prizes by tapping the opponent's bent knees with the flat side of Angunh. The hollow sound it makes usually sends the players in to fits delighted laughter.

Players are always play the game with a music and dance.
